Our final week in our “backs against the wall” sermon series finds us in Matthew 2:13-23.
Herod, threatened by the birth of Jesus, orders all baby boys born in and around Bethlehem over the last 2 years killed.
God however intervenes and Mary and Joseph, with Jesus in tow, escape to Egypt.
Sometimes the world presents us with difficult situations.
The Good News is God always provides a faithful pathway forward.
Sometimes that pathway feels more like an escape than anything else as is the case here with Herod and with the baby Jesus.
God always provides!
