Jesus on his many trips to Jerusalem with his parents would stop at Bethany, a small hamlet to rest, there Jesus met Mary, Martha and Lazarus for the first time when he was 13 years old. From that moment on they became close friends, and it was Jesus’ custom to visit with them every time he would be around the area. On one specific visit from Jesus, Mary and Martha chose two very different actions, and the way that Jesus reacted to their choices is a very valuable lesson for us today.
