The heart of Genesis 45:1–15 is the moment when Joseph, overwhelmed by emotion,
reveals himself to the brothers who once betrayed him. It is a powerful scene of
reconciliation. It is raw, human, and astonishingly full of grace.
We’re invited to imagine what God might be doing beneath the surface of our pain. It
asks us to consider that God may be preparing us, as God prepared Joseph, for a
moment when grace can break through. Joseph’s tears are a gift to us. They remind us
that reconciliation is emotional, vulnerable, and holy.
