Be Mine

Our Sermons

February is the month of love, and the fourteenth is the one day of the year we have to remember to tell our spouse / boyfriend / girlfriend that we love them. We sing  love songs, buy chocolate, go out for dinner and purchase cards all to say we love you.

A man named John wrote a love note to his wife and kids in his own blood, hoping they would get it, as he lay trapped under the wreckage in a terrible accident. Let’s see Hallmark beat that valentine card.

It wasn’t the first time that someone used his own blood to write a love note to those he loved. There was another man named John, a disciple who wrote these words … “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

This week we will be celebrating Holy Communion with Rev. Jim Johnson, as we prepare to enter the season of Lent, a time leading up to Easter. You’re invited to join us in person or online as we celebrate Jesus’ love note to the world, which He signed with His own blood.

Please join us after our service for a light lunch of soup and buns, all are welcome!
