This Sunday we start a three week series entitled “Journeys with Jacob”.
Genesis 25:19-34 gives us a quick family history as well as paints the picture of his relationship with his elder twin brother Esau.
The importance of God working in and through Jacob can hardly be overstated.
His 12 sons later become the 12 tribes of Israel following the Exodus out of slavery in Egypt.
Jacob reminds us of so many powerful truths including:
1. God is in control
2. God chooses everyday people, and,
3. If we look closely we soon see that we are living variations of the Biblical stories.
