This week we will be shaped by Mark 8:36-37 as we enter into week 3 of 6 in our “Questions Jesus asked” sermon series.
Here Jesus asks, “What does it profit a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
Jesus draws a distinction between what the world considers profitable and what is truly profitable.
As we celebrate Communion, we will be reminded that God does things differently, in ways that only He could ever imagine and do.
One question we might ask ourselves is, do we see things through the lense of the world or through Kingdom of God lenses?
God always knows best.
This is both a relief, and something worth celebrating.
