Jesus Entry into Jerusalem

Our Sermons

Palm Sunday with all of its pomp and circumstance is always a bit of a time of mixed emotions.
Yes Jesus enters triumphantly into Jerusalem as King, but not as the kind of King they expected.
Psalm 118:1-2 & 19-29 as well as Luke 19:28-40 both speak of a celebratory procession – but things are not always as they seem.
The Israelites were counting on Jesus to free them from Roman rule and overpower the Roman authorities.
Jesus of course, did much more than this.
Far from simply freeing them from the current ruler Jesus freed them (and us) from all earthly rulers and for all time.
There is much more than meets the eye going on here on Palm Sunday.
Come celebrate as we worship the one true living God who saves and sets us free.
It all starts at 10:30 in person and online.
At Living Faith there is always room for everyone.
