John 14:1-10 is our scripture for this Sunday.
In verse 6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life” and He talks about how He will come and take all believers home with Him to be with God forever.
These are words of great comfort.
And yet, for some they are also troubling as Jesus also says, “no one comes to the Father except through me.”
Sometimes the Gospel comforts and challenges at the same time.
However we look at it, God always has our best interest in mind.
Jesus was never afraid to speak the truth boldly and without compromise.
We are so blessed to be loved and known by a God who comes, takes us by the hand, and leads us home to be with Him forever.
