Luke 22:54-62 serves us another Biblical meltdown.
Here, Peter denies Jesus 3 times just after His arrest.
Imagine being told by the person you respect the most that you would do something, you deny it, and then you go and do that exact thing.
This is precisely what happens to Peter.
Our passage closes out with Peter weeping bitterly all alone.
Thankfully this isn’t the end of the story.
A little while later, after His resurrection, Jesus finds Peter and shares with him that he has been chosen to lead God’s people.
Sometimes it’s a meltdown that enables God to build us up.
