This Sunday we enter into the season of Lent.
In Luke 4 verses 1-13 we see Jesus tested and tempted in the wilderness for 40 days.
This 40 day period mirrors the 40 years of the Israelites wandering in the desert as they were refined at the hands of God.
Jesus is about to do the most extraordinary thing in all of history – die and rise again for the glory of God and salvation of all creation.
We are blessed with the season of Lent as a time of preparation leading up to the cross, may we use it wisely by engaging in prayer and reflection.
God is amazing and loves us beyond measure.
We are so blessed to be known and loved by God.
