This Sunday we come to the final Sunday in Advent, the Sunday of love.
Luke 1:46-55 is Mary’s great love song to God.
Mary recounts the goodness of God and shows great faith.
Her baby isn’t even born, and yet she celebrates God’s faithfulness as promised through Abraham.
Mary takes a long view and sees God not just in this instant but over every generation.
God’s love stretches back forever, and forward into eternity.
As we get closer and closer to Christmas, we remember the saving love of God that has always been, is now, and will be forever.
God loves us so much He comes in human form and gives us His all.
This is the time of year where God’s love takes center stage .. hopefully it stays there and never leaves.
