We’ve all heard about shady real estate agents trying to sell swampland in Florida. But what about an Old Testament prophet who purchases a field of land in a war zone? Perhaps not the wisest financial investment, but as we’ll discover on Sunday, it was definitely an investment in the future. We’ll continue our Transitions sermon series, looking at the hope-filled real estate transaction from the prophet Jeremiah that served as a symbol of hope during a time of transition for the Hebrew people. This symbol of hope can guide us – as a congregation and as individuals – as we navigate through our times of transition.
