The title of this post reflects the words of Ecclesiastes 3 – to everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. This Sunday, we will celebrate the changing season in our ministry as I lead my final service at Living Faith in preparation for our family’s move to Bracebridge next week.
How do I sum up a 23 year journey with this congregation?
How do I find the words to adequately relay the love we share with God and with one another?
How do I say “thank you” for the care and affection we have discovered in one another?
Well, there truly are no words that are adequate enough, but there is praise…and worship…and celebration, and that is what we will be sharing this Sunday, followed by a pot-luck reception when we can continue to praise…and worship…and celebrate!
This is a time of change – of transition – at Living Faith, but we know that God is in the midst of it all and is leading us to a bright, exciting, new future. I hope you will come and be part of this amazing new thing that God is doing, and that you will rely on God’s guidance – and each other’s strength – along the journey.
I am so thankful for the privilege of serving God through this congregation. My heart is overflowing with thanks and praise for you all.
Go now in peace, to love and serve our risen Saviour. And may Christ Jesus wrap his loving arms around you to hold you close, and place them underneath you to lift you up, today and every day. Amen.
