This week we enter into week 2 in the season of Lent.
Our passage is Mark 8:31-38.
In verses 34 and 35 Jesus says; “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.”
Following Jesus to the cross is not easy and often goes against the ways of our culture.
At the same time “the way of the cross” is the most rewarding journey ever.
As we go deeper into the season of Lent so too are we invited to go deeper into the heart of God.
Come worship as we explore discipleship in Christ.
