If you’re like me, there have been times in your life when you’ve felt OUT – out of touch, out of sync, out of the loop, out of sorts. It’s during times of OUT-ness when we can feel lost, misunderstood, and empty. And I wonder…if we are feeling out of touch/sync/the loop/sorts, how many others around us are also feeling the same way? That’s a lot of people feeling OUT. So what can we do about it? Previously at Living Faith, we discussed how God can take that which is old and turn it into something brand new, this Sunday we’ll discover how OUT is IN with God (what a paradox God can be!). This is good news for those of us who may be feeling OUT, but it’s good news that comes with a challenge – how can we help others discover that OUT is IN? Join us this Sunday as we search together for the answer.

While today is scheduled to be a reprieve from the extreme heat we’ve been experiencing, the forecast indicates that we’ll be plunged back into the hot temperatures and humidity again tomorrow and for the next several days. I’m not complaining mind you (we’ll be wishing for this heat come November); however, these conditions can be dangerous for the elderly or those with medical conditions. This might be a good weekend to check in on your neighbours or touch base with your family members to ensure that everyone is safe and healthy. And if you or someone you know is in need of an air conditioned environment in which to cool down, please just give me a call or send an email and we can get together for a coffee (or iced tea!) and a chat.
