Christmas Clothing Drive

November 11, 2020 @ 8:00 am - January 5, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

Christmas is coming and that means we are collecting new and gently used warm clothing! As you are well aware it is important for us to keep our social distance and this means that we cannot have our Annual Mitten Tree Toss this year, but we will still be collecting for those in need.

This year we are looking to help 3 different organizations.

Evangel Hall – it is a Toronto-based charity that helps homeless and socially isolated individuals find a safe haven from the streets.

Alliston Out of the Cold – provides safe, respectful and welcoming overnight accommodation and meals to those experiencing homelessness from November to April; facilitating connection to further services, resources and community.

K.I.P Canada- (formerly known as F.E.A.T. for Children of Incarcerated Parents) support the needs of the over 50,000 children in Ontario that have a parent in the criminal justice system. The multifaceted impact of parental incarceration on children can be devastating. These innocent children are often faced with a myriad of challenges including; family instability, economic insecurity, societal stigmatization as well as a compromised self-esteem, trust, and sense of security in their familial relationships.

All donations received by December 6th will be sent to K.I.P. as their deadline is before Christmas.  After that we will will be splitting all other donations giving to Evangel Hall and Out of the Cold.

Help us make a difference to so many in need this year!

Donations can be dropped off at the church office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays from 9-1pm.  Please ensure that clothing is clean and damage free.
